Senior citizens; are you satisfied with AARP's performance?

1 Sorry, but this member of the "bunch of old folks" likes the AARP, and their stance on the reform. And the implication that most seniors, and AARP seniors in particular don't is just more right wing disinformation, i.e. Incorrect.

2 According to CBS news, at least 60,000 AARP members have quit in protest of AARP's support of the Obamacare bill. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/beltway-confidential/CBS-News-AP-report-AARP-losing-thousands-of-members-protesting-groups-Obamacare-support--53556077.htmlThis more a lot more than right wing disinformation. I have always refused to join AARP because of their political stance.

I am so not happy with AARP. When I turned 50 I joined AARP, that was a little over ten years ago. At first I liked them and then I started to put two and two together and believe me I did not come out with four.

The AARP has turned into another Lobbying body that leans very much to the left. They get federal money to more or less go alone with the Democrat party. I dropped my membership with AARP and never looked back.

Now with their approval of the Health Care Bill that congress just passed that is proof positive that they do not really care for senior citizens but care more for left leaning policies. I personally know of over 35 friends and relatives that have dropped their membership. If you belong to the opposite party why join AARP?

They only speak for 50% of us and screw the other 50%.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
