Senior Citizens!, has your taste buds changed over the years?, what do you not like now, that you used to!..?

Taste changes' was one of my major disappointments in my young life. It is a common trait in Humans to find that youngsters grow out of loving all things sweet, and as they mature. They begin to crave spicy and savoury tastes.

I grew up during the 2nd.W.W. I was five when it started. In 1940, heavy duty Food rationing went into force, and we never saw a sweet or a piece of chocolate or candy, for over five years. I dreamt about candy.

I longed for the taste of a Mars Bar, or some Roundtree's Fruit Gums. Five years is a long time, when you are just a kid. I remember thinking, 'When this is all over, and when I am grown up, I shall earn good money, and I shall march into the sweet-shop and buy the entire stock..!' Actually, rationing went on in Britain for well over four years after the war's end in 1945.

By that time I was in my mid-teens and, alas, I lost it. Somehow, chocolate didn't move me any more. Sweets were too sweet.

I had lost my sweet tooth. Never got it back, either. I never eat chocolate.

Don't like it. If it's a choice between chocolate pudding or a nice sharp cheese, I'll go for the cheese every time. I read somewhere, I think it was national geographic, that Chimpanzees are the same.

The young seek out the wild sweet floury apples and raid the bees' nests for honey, while the adults prefer pungent foods. Jane Goodall shocked everyone when she revealed that the chimps weren't the Garden of Eden creatures everyone thought and, in fact, they were nasty little cannibals, hunting down smaller primates, tearing them to pieces and sharing the booty with the hunting gang.

I found out that my tastes have changes since I have grown and changes as you get older as well because it is harder to tell what you are eating........ Just because you are getting older.....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
