Senior Citizens!, Is it not marvellous just how much happiness and sorrow! ,we can experience in a life time?

If I were to win the lottery, I would love to get out of this redneck hillbilly town and upsize back to a few thousand square feet in the city--San Francisco, Seattle, or L.A. would be nice--where I could find a good pastrami sandwich at three o'clock in the morning, watch a decent gay pride parade, see a genuine Rembrandt or Grant Wood or Chagall up close any time I liked, rent a copy of any movie that has ever been made, and buy and use any kind of dope I'm in the mood for, without worrying about getting busted by the War-On-Drugs pigs.

Only if my spouse died. He does all the work that our landlord SHOULD be doing, including trimming trees and mowing the vacant lot next door, fixing frozen pipes in the winter, taking care of electrical problems, whatever. Though I really love living here, I would have to move, mostly likely to be near my daughter and SIL and their kids.

And I'd have to live in an apartment, because there's no way I could shovel snow or plow it from a driveway.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
