Share your sick and twisted children's books. Real books! I just saw a synopsis of this book coming out in the fall called "The Pig Who Wanted to be Kosher."

It's the heartwarming story of a pig who desperately wants to make himself Kosher -- so he can be served and eaten at a shabat supper! WTH? goodreads.com/book/show/7933002-baxter-t... copy from the author, to celebrate the release of her brand new picture book!

Baxter is a curious little pig, who only wants to "watch the candles gleam and glow and dance. " But when he mistakenly asks someone how he--a pig--might become "part of Shabbat dinner" he finds himself in (quite literally) a pickle! Find out how this silly misunderstanding leads to a mitzvah and a mess!

3 I'm quite fond of 'The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy: and Other Stories', by Tim Burton. I also like my , Pop Up Book of Phobias, and 'Ghoul School', another fun pop up book. My very favorite is 'The Stinky Cheese Man'....a lovely book of fairy tales whose edges have been pushed way outside the box.

Edward Gorey is definitely an other you would want to turn to for the strange, unusual and macabre in books catering to both children and adults. Here is a great website for his books: goreydetails.net/show.php?alpha=7826&cat... They also have Tim Burton's books.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
