Should france and Britain used military force against hitler instead appeasing hitler?

We should have fought WITH Hitler. Many British people believed that Hitler was right and now, 70 years later, we are seeing the collapse of multiculturalism and the rise of Nationalism.

Crazy as it seems, there was considerable and serious debate in 1930's Britain as to whether we should 'throw our lot' in with Hitler... or stick with the ironically 'forgiving' nature of empire based control. Hitler himself is also known to have considered the possibility. No formal proposal was ever made, but to give credit where it is due... Churchill was implacable and never faltered in his view that Hitler and his Nazi cronies were despicable, and to an unacceptable degree.

Churchill declared himself an enemy of Nazism long before the war started, Oswald Mosely was famously, the only public figure to declare his allegiance to Hitler's ideas... and was promptly (and properly) thrown into prison as a result. I would suggest that if the Nazis had achieved any kind of influence on British politics in the late 20th century, then the tiny, whiny and weakly minority that currently infest this site with thuggish and venomous views... would have more supporters. As it stands... they remain a tiny group of 'foot stampers' who do their best to portray themselves as 'normal'... but we all know the reality.

I liked the old Trade Union term for right wing extremists. They called them 'washing machines'. Because all they do is stand in the corner and shake.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
