Should I let my son play grand theft auto?

I realize that plenty of games are like that, I like black ops myself, and I suppose it's a bit hypocritcal to think that way when I make a game out of war, but somehow it just doesn't feel the same. But at the same time, I realize many children crave excitement, and this game gives plenty of it, so it's a judgement call, but it's quite clear to me you do not think your child is mature or intelligent enough to simply take it as a game. Which is fine, it means that you are doing your job as a parent, because quite honestly, most 11 year old kids aren't.

I think it's odd when parents say they don't want their kid to play the game. But 11 IS too early. I think he should be at least 14 to tell you the truth.

Maybe even 16. I think 18 is a little late though, I mean a 16 year old knows as much as an 18 year old, not much change between those ages, they will act the same way. So think about maybe when he is like 16, but no, not 11.

Btw, an 8 year old?! Omg...lol...I believe in video games and such and not shielding your children away from the world, but Grand Theft Auto has bad things in it that an 8 year old will question.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
