Should I stay away from toddler classes (i.e. Mommy and Me) during my first trimester of my second pregnancy? I'Ve heard this is when the fetus is most vulnerable and diseases common among children can be daminging if I contract it.

Viruses Viruses. Nurses and day-care workers are often exposed to the rubella virus and cytomegalovirus (CMV), both of which are hazardous during pregnancy. Rubella during the first three months of pregnancy may cause severe birth defects in the fetus; CMV can be passed along to a fetus, causing handicaps such as blindness, hearing loss, and cerebral palsy.

You should be fine! They gave birth to healthy babies! Sources: http://www.webmd.com/content/article/4/1680_51839.htm .
Actually, I would Being in your first trimester during the cold and flu season.....it just might be smart not to get into too many group situations. Check with your doctor and see shat he/she thinks about it. Toddlers sharing toys can exchange so many germs. It would just take one sick kid in the group to spread the cold or flu to everyone.
I'm not at all paranoid about germs, but precaution is a good thing and will save you, your fetus and your toddler a lot of discomfort if you can avoid the usual winter illnesses. I think I would stay away I know right now where I'm located there are stomach viruses, flus, etc going around. SO it would probably be a good idea to stay away from places where it may be going around Sources: my opinion .
I wouldn't worry Don't deprive yourself of going places or doing things you want to do just because you are pregnant. The fetus is getting immunity through you. Catching a cold or some other illness while pregnant will not cause harm to the fetus, unless your body has a severe reaction to something.
Follow your body cues; if you get sick and feel that something is wrong, go to the doctor. It's when the baby is a newborn and OUT of the womb, that you have to be more cautious about exposing him/her to people that are sick.
I'm pregnant and I have pass my 1st trimester but I've been taking stilnox to help me sleep, will it effect my pregnancy.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
