Should I wash my hair with rainwater?

Joliejolie Your granny is right. Rainwater is soft water as it does not contain many of chemicals found in the normal tap water. Normal tap water is hard water, so it doesn’t you’re your hair very well.

Also it does tend to leave the shampoo residue behind. However you should note that it is not completely chemical-free. But these chemicals are not as harsh for you hair as those found in the normal tap water.

You can read more about the experience of washing hair with rainwater at associatedcontent.com/article/272065/was... But avoid rainwater if you happen to live in a polluted area. This is because here the rainwater gets mixed with the smog and other pollutants. So it ends up losing its efficacy. It will again become hard water.

I would suggest you try washing your hair in rainwater a couple of times and see how you feel. If they become soft and manageable, continue with it, otherwise switch over to tap water.

It depends on how clean your rain water is in your area, it could be full of pollutants, chemicals, even flies. Then there is the issue of how on earth are you going to collect enough to wash, rinse, condition and rinse again, unless you live in an area prone to downpours? In your grandmothers day, the rain water would have been considerably cleaner than these days, she is right in one way because rain water is usually soft, tap water can be hard in many areas and this is not very good for skin or hair.

I would suggest getting a water filter of some description, you can have them fitted to the water system, or there are filter jugs available, but again this would be time consuming.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
