I'm sure I know where this is coming from - guru guide team. 20 Q an 100 A for 100/month. You just don't want to do the work of answering questions.
You want other people to answer for you, then take the money for it. Dave - Why would you think you could do a fraction (10%) of the work of everyone else for the same pay? I want an answer to this.
You want to get paid to make other people work for you, while they don't get paid in return. Questions take a minute amount of work compared to the amount of work that goes in to answer, but you still think you can do a tiny bit and be massively rewarded. Everyone else has to do their own work for their own pay, so you should too.
I know you think your the best, as you've said before - but a lot of people here have great questions. You think you're entitled to more than everyone else because you think your questions are better than everyone else's. They aren't.
I know it's harsh, but someone has to say it. You keep bringing up the issue of pageviews. Every question brings in page views.
Many questions bring in more page views than yours do, because your pages only affect a niche market - and these people won't always stick around. The kind of things that keep people around are the questions that are easy to answer that people can answer with personal experience (usually, anyways) - because of human nature, people like speaking about themselves. You have no global appeal.
$1/day for no davepamn questions? I have a feeling you could make his $100 a day goal that way. And since we've had similar discussions before, I know you are going to think I'm "working against you".
I just think you need a bit of reality that other people can ask just as good of questions as you, and you need to do the work to get the cash. You need to stop thinking that Mahalo owes you something, because they really don't. Dave, you're really starting to drive me insane with your requests for special treatment and money from Mahalo.
Things like this are making me skip over your questions without a glance, and I know I'm not the only one. Why can't you just use the community the way it's supposed to be used like everyone else without thinking you should be singled out and recognized and paid? This is a site for people to ask genuine questions - not to pay people for research.
That's what the Guides are for. Now if you put as much work into answers as you did into arguing with Mahalo over the special treatment you think you should have, you'd be on the guru team and making a heck of a lot more money than you are now.
No. Member answers don't count. It's the answers itself that the Guru is expected to provide.
A Q&A Guru provides excellent questions and answers, which follow some strict rules: - The Q&A have to be on assigned 'sister sites', periodically defined by staff, not on Mahalo - Questions have to be at least 75 words long - Answers have to be at least 125 words long - Both Q&A have to be accompanied by an image - Each question and answer has to be administered. But, most importantly, you have to sign 'The Contract'. Sorry, @DavePamn fails on all of these points, and therefore should not be assigned 'Q&A guru' status.
Yes Dave they should let you be a Guru expert.. they should let everyone be an expert if they are an expert but they should not pay anyone beyond the methods of payment already in place for the regular activity a member contributes. Some folks like your questions, some folks do not, some folks think they are excessive in numbers. I would consider paying you a dollar a day for you to not ask any questions. It is not that I do not like your questions I just am amongst the numbers who find the quantity of them excessive.
I would suggest you get every open question you have answered before you ask a single new question. If Mahalo pays you differently than the others then they would have to offer the same monetary benefits to other members and I just do not think they are going to bend their payment situation to conform to your requirements. Too often you are asking Mahalo to conform to what you want instead of asking yourself to conform to what Mahalo wants.
The rest of us have to conform, why shouldn't you have to do the same? You could earn the Guru Team money by simply applying for the position and doing what is required of you in that position and therefore having the extra money to pursue your own objectives like the rest of us.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
