Should my boyfriend and I rent an apartment now since we're 6months or should we wait?

Personally, I would wait another 6 months. It might save you a lot of heartache and hassle. Living with someone is a lot different than dating them.

A good learning experience. Maybe he or you have habits that the other cannot stand. Now, some questions.

Who is going to pay the rent? Are you going 50/50? What happens if one of you doesn't have the money?

If not, does he expect you to do all the cooking and cleaning and laundry, while he watches tv? Or, if you work and he doesn't or works less than you, are you going to expect dinner ready and a clean house when you get home? Are you going to be ok if he wants a night out with the boys, or are you going to be calling him every 5 minutes?

Is he going to be ok with you going out with friends if he doesn't go? And, remember, once you move in together, the going out on dates will, most likely, be over. A lot of guys don't feel like they have to take you out as much once you are living together.

Just some things to think about, before you make that step.

Well I don't recommend waiting until marriage like a previous answer suggested because then you would have to divorce if it didn't go well. I highly advise to try it out well before marriage. But 6 months isn't long enough to be together for moving in.It will take more time to see if you are really compatible, it seems like so long but 6 months really is nothing.

Wait until you're married. I see boyfriend/girlfriend living together so often on Judge Judy that it's worse than trope used in TV sitcoms. Save yourself the heartache of the arguments and merely enjoy the times when you can be with him.
