If by that you mean a nation in which the largest religion is Christianity then yes. If you mean officially Christian as in the laws of the land being based on Judeo-Christian values then no. The constitution makes no mention of the divine and only mentions religion in saying that no religious tests will be required for one to hold public office.
The establishment clause (first amendment to our constitution) draws a clear boundary between church and state, that the state should not interfere with the peoples religious practice and also that organized religion not attempt to influence government to advance their religion (which the religious right in modern America is clearly trying to do).
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
