Well there are some occupations where schooling is of no help, and they HAVE to train you on the job. THen it's a fine point of equity and economics-- is it fair for the company to charge you for the training? I suspect we should let the free-market decide.

You gave me the impression that is was.... relieved.Internships..... I came accross to a lot of nepotism and trying to get people to work for free. Shame on the employers. Reality check...depend on your network if you get a sweet deal.

On the other hand it does give recent graduates to get some experience so hiring them would be desirable. When I was working as a supervisor of a chemistry lab interns quit saying they made more money working as a bar tender at the Olive Garden. Clearly they were just after the money.

Too bad because we had a nice program that eventually would result in employment or a nice letter of reference.

An internship is an interesting challenge to regulate, because the intern is exchanging work for training. Honest companies use internships to develop well trained employees; dishonest companies use them as a source of cheap disposable labor. I imagine several companies out there would absolutely LOVE it if they were allowed to get their employees to pay them for the privelege of working for them.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
