I don't think the burqa should be totally banned. However, the burqa SHOULD be banned in locations where it is not okay to wear other face/head coverings (banks, police stations, public transport, ID photos etc). Sometimes, head coverings are a security risk.
Why should Muslim women be exempt from basic security expectations which the rest of us must adhere to?
Of course not, you have to be open to others opinions, and if they feel they should wear it let them. Personally the idea that have to wear it, so I don't have lustful thoughts of them, could be taken as a little insulting, but at the end of the day, it's not harming me if they wear one, so who cares. If the actual act of wearing one, harmed or incited harm, towards people, then yes there would be a legitimate reason to ban it.
But just because a woman happens to be covered head to toe in a burqa, doesn't really matter in the gran scale of things, does it? We are a tolerant nation, on the whole, and I personally like the idea, that people feel comfortable to be able to come to these shores, and on the whole be accepted, no matter what they wear.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
