Should you only listen to one critic at a time and ignore the rest? How do you decide who to listen too?

I try to see a film without reading critical reviews. If I'd read critiques, it's more than possible I would have chosen not to see some of the best films I've ever experienced. I try to think for myself.

That weird, bug eyed empty brain look that comes from allowing others to think for us and convince us not to question, is like agreeing to a lobotomy.

Just remember that everyone is a critic to some degree!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
