Shut down my computer and starts back up automatically?
1 hkzen, regarding your answer "Check if the option says "Restart" before hitting OK.. ":Yes I select Shut down. It also does the same thing if I depress the power button and windows does its own shutdown.
There are some options there that will tell your computer to startup if it sees activity on different devices like USB, serial, etc. Turn those options off. An option might say something like INT3 startup too and shut that off. Some devices can be "noisy" and force startups when you don’t want them with these options on.
BTW, some computers require a cold start to get into the BIOS so make sure your system is off if you have trouble getting into the BIOS settings. You may need to unplug and replug the computer to do this. Post a follow-up and let us all know how you make out.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
