Since Fox's 24 series has been canceled, are you excited about the possibility of a 24 Movie?

I would definitely go see the movie, if nothing else, to see how they did it. It couldn't be done in real-time, so they would have to abandon the count down. If they decided to keep the countdown then it couldn't be 24 hours.

On 24: The Movie, there is a quote from Sutherland saying that the writers would portray a 24 hour period in 2 hours and that they would feel more free. As long as someone is trying to bomb the US and Jack is the only one getting it right with some ambiguous love situation going on and he doesn't die in the end...I'm good.

NOOOOOOOOO! I had not heard the show was cancelled. I am a 24-aholic and will definately go to see a movie.

I got hooked on the show in the 3rd season and eventually went back and watched seasons one and two on dvd. There were some marathon sessions where my wife and I just vegged and watched 4 or 5 episodes in a row. I don't think it lost any effectiveness when you watched in bigger chunks, I think it would transition smoothly onto the big screen.

I am more concerned about the storyline. They are stretching a little this season. Hopefully the movie will bring on some fresh new ideas and a spark to the franchise. At its core, it was riviting, topical, action packed, drama, non-stop.

I think a movie would be great.

If the movie is as good as the TV show, I would definitely go see it. The major problem is that a movie only lasts 2-3 hours while the show lasts 24. Usually, when networks try to do something like this, it ends up being a train wreck.

You just can't beat the original!

The show was running on creative fumes, though this past season was more exciting and a little more inventive than seasons 3-5. I think a movie would work well to bring closure to a long-running series. As I'm not a fan of the show I'd probably not be very psyched to see it, but I imagine fans will come out in droves...if it's any good, that is.

Not at all. I'd prefer a Fringe film or a Flashforward film.

I am not really interested in the movie, but it might work. The real-time aspect of the 24 series was a great gimmick, but at the end of the day I think it was too hard for the writers to come up with 24 great episodes. Inevitably the plot would suffer somewhere along the way or things would sometimes look too formulaic.

The only way that I would be excited about a 24 movie is if Elisha Cuthbert (Jack Baurer's daughter) is in the movie. She was the only reason why I watched the show in the first place. I would probably wait till it comes out on DVD before I would watch it.

The prices for tickets to go see a movie are way to high right now. Would you go see the movie in the theaters or wait till it comes out on DVD?

Not in the slightest. This sickening anti-American, anti-law abiding, pro-violence piece of garbage is finally leaving our TV screens -- hooray! Let us not bequeath it to any wider audience, please.

No, it wouldn't be as interesting on the big screen. You'd have several abominations of a script written before they finally approve the shooting one. It'll be three to six month of hype before the release date, followed by disappointment and endless comparisons to the TV show. No, I won't bother going to see it.

I have better things to spend $18.95 on. :).

Yes, would be awesome. The TV shows each cover a 24 hour period that adds up to a complete story, doing a movie in a similar format to tell a complete story seems almost made to happen. Most movies cover multiple periods of time, days.

Weeks, months even years, 24 the Movie seems ideal to tell the complete story over time periods of 24 hour segments but the complete story gets told in the movie. Just think of the movie as the show, 24 hour periods to tell a story, no commercials and no waiting for the next episode to come on, all in one at one time. Yes would go to see the movie if the story line is intriguing.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
