Since the iPad has been out for awhile, who is really using it for work or is it just a toy?

I have wondered this for some time because I know that people use their desktop computers, laptop computers and cell phones more for games than for anything useful. I don't have an iPad but know some people that do and have seen a little of what they are doing on it. First, the people I know definitely use it for entertainment purposes.

They play games, listen to music, watch videos etc. They tell me that they also use it for work and have shown me the apps they have on their iPad for work. Such things do include email, news, word processing apps for reports. One friend of mine is a teacher and uses it for documents such as assignments, test and quiz scores for each student, etc. As for the amount of time the iPad is used for work and for entertainment, I don't really know but I do know they definitely use it for games too and not only for work.

My brother purchased an iPad and he does use it for work purposes. I do not have one either, unfortunately they are to expensive for me at this time. My sons girlfriend has an iPad as well.

She does use it to organize her day and for school purposes as well as going on Facebook and Twitter. They both seem very impressed and love all the apps. I guess it depends on what you do for a living.

I would guess the younger crowd could use it for school and fun. I personally work from home online and really do not need the apps or extra things the iPad can do. The home computer is good enough for what I do.

I rarely even use my laptop unless someone is on our home computer.

As far as I konw , most of case , it is a toy. It is suit for reading and gaming.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
