1 I think they'll be all right. I remember some terrible floods along the Mississippi back in '93 and '96. Very bad in Davenport, IA, and St.Louis, but the levees in NO were OK.
Katrina dumped a lot of rain right on top of NO, and that's what did it. The levees are repaired now, should be in better shape than before Katrina.
2 By the time it gets down there, the flood surge will have spread out considerably. They'll get more water, but it will be spread out over days rather than arriving all at once.
Once you're from New Orleans you'll always call this place home no matter where you are. We've rebuilt before, if necessary we'll do it again. What's gonna happen?
Who knows, but we'll have to handle it just like everyone else on our planet who have experienced a natural disaster.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
