Some of the ingredients for sushi rice are not available in my stores. Can I substitute rice vinegar?

Substitutes: Apple Cider Vinegar|apple cider vinegar (also add a pinch of Sugar|sugar if you like) OR white wine vinegar OR 3 parts white vinegar + 1 part water Jasmine rice has a slightly aromatic sweet flavor. Long grain is not sticky. You need a short grain rice for that sticky texture. If you cant find Japanese rice.

Calrose rice works well with sushi rice. If thats still not available, any good quality short grain rice can be used as substitute.
