The preferred method is parts replacement whenever possible. Sometimes, however, the part is so expensive or costly to remove and replace that it makes more economic sense to flush. In that case, the preferred flush method is to use closed-loop flushing with a Visteon approved flush machine and flush agent.

This has been extensively tested and is very effective. The second choice, if no flush machine is available, is to install filters in the high and low side. Keep in mind that when flushing, it is still necessary to replace all the components not being flushed.
