Sony Wega big screen tv standby light flashing.?

I havent fixed that tv in a long time,but I did quite a few about 5 years ago they were pretty common sets. You have sony diagnostics thats what the blinking is you count the blinks and look up the issue,we have a bit different procedure as pros. If you have 5 blinks repeatedly that is the lamp or ballast error,which means a bad ballast or just a Dlp lamp,(bulb).

I have seen bad v fuses bad formatter boards actually bad soldering at the V trans,The board or G board is rare,I never say never,but most sonys KDF-55W655 are the bulb or ballast. I cant tell without properly checking,I use test equipment and meters whether needed or not. You could be one of the few people with a bad g-board a fuse even,it all depends on how many blins the sony diagnostic led shows,and that still doesn't tell you exactly whats wronglike 6 blinks is low voltage at the board that could be a fuse a bad weld etc.Thats why we use test equipment.

I gave you the best answer I can without knowing more. If its not a bulb and your not handy call a repair tech or buy a new Tv,its not worth getting hurt or may cost more to repair it than buying a new TV,+++EDIT+++ If you do a hard reset unplug for an hour or so I still say if that doesn't help you have a bulb or ballast issue its very common no matter the flashes just by what you described its only a few things and Ive already told you what it is,I have fixed a bunch its not detecting voltage it could be a fuse a ballast a bulb,but you need a pro to test and confirm. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
