Spending the next couple of days trying to cook an awesome non-dairy cream of mushroom soup. Any hints?

My husband has made terrific non-dairy cream of mushroom soups in the past beginning with a roux, but he's a "dump cook" so there's no way to replicate. However, I found the following on cooks.com... Substitution: Instead of canned cream of mushroom soup (contains cream) make your own "cream of mushroom soup" (it works! ) as follows: 8 oz.

Mushrooms, diced 8 oz. (1 c. ) chicken broth 2 tbsp.

Butter 2 tbsp. Flour 2 tbsp. Cornstarch 1 (6 oz.) (3/4 c.

) non-dairy creamer 1 tsp. Garlic powder Dash salt & pepper Combine all the Substitution ingredients in a covered saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes. Use in place of canned cream of mushroom soup if desired.

Good luck, and bon appetit!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
