Family is important and so is a spouse. If you really like this man it is important for there to be equality between your relationship but if you are in you 60's you should be aware how important it is to have family still around and alive especially his mother. It is a little selfish on your part to think all his attention should be yours as this is an elderly woman your dealing with.

She is not going to be around forever and you should find room in your life for her or if for some reason you do not get along then you can work out your shared time between yourself and his mother. This is his family and obviously if you are considering leaving it just goes to show it is true - You can keep family around longer than a spouse. Try to have an open mind, be less selfish and see things from his point of view as when someone is gone they are gone especially when it comes to a parent.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
