Suppose a dentist wants to immigrate in Canada. What are the chances of being dentist in Canada?

For foreign-trained dentists these are the requirements: 1) Those who graduated from non-accredited dental programs must complete an accredited Qualifying or Degree Completion Program or the NDEB Equivalency Process before one will be eligible to take the NDEB Written and OSCE examinations. The Equivalency Process is an alternate way to becoming certified as a dentist in Canada for graduates of non-accredited dental programs. Integrated with it the admission process for the Qualifying and Degree Completion Programs.

This Equivalency Process is composed of three Assessments. If an individual successfully passed this it will qualify him to participated in the NDEB Written and OSCE Examinations. The Canadian Faculties of Dentistry will also use the results of these Assessments in the admission process for Qualifying and Degree Completion Programs.

The Association of Canadian Faculties of Dentistry will help the graduates of non-accredited dental programs to become licensed practitioners in Canad by giving the Eligibility Examination/Prior Learning Assessment(PLA) for general dentists and the Dental Specialty Core Knowledge Examination (DSCKE) for graduates of specialty programs. The Eligibility Examination is presently an admissions requirement used by dental education institutions that provide a Qualifying Program or a Degree Completion Program for general dentists. The last Eligibility Examination was conducted last February 2010.

For now the PLA replaced the Eligibility Examinations as the requirement for entry into these programs. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
