MacFixIt reader Bill McHale reports a problem with the Autosense function offered by the LinkSys BEFSX41 Cable/DSL: "Upon connecting my PowerBook G4 Titanium to a BEFSX41 switch port, it failed to establish a solid 'link' condition on the port. All the lights for the port would flash on for a fraction of a second, then stay dark for a few seconds and flash again. "I tested the very similar model BEFVP41 and had no difficulties whatsoever.
I figured that I received a defective unit and exchanged the BEFSX41. The replacement unit had the same problem. Since I have used my Titanium PowerBook on numerous switches and networks (including several different LinkSys switches) and never, ever, had a problem establishing a link right away, I am assuming that there is a design flaw in the LinkSys BEFSX41."
UPDATE: Confirmation from LinkSys An anonymous MacFixIt reader reports that LinkSys' technical support department would not confirm exactly what was wrong with the router, but mentioned ... more.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
