My friend was diagnosed having acute abscess with facial swelling, then her dentist prescribed her with massive dose of antibiotics - which she have to take for almost two months. What may be the possible causes brought by this overdosage, since I heard it is only safe to take antibiotics for a long period of two weeks. More worried about osteomylitis the risk of osteomylitis of the jaw is great. You should not be on antibiotics for two months for this abscess. You should not mess around - tell your friend to go see an infectious disease specialist right away.
Like tomorrow.
Antibiotics That might be a good question for a physicain to answer! :-) .
Antibiotics wipe out the good bacteria in the intestines so they can't make Vit K and B vitamins. She can take B vitamins in supplements. She can get resistant to them.
Vit C kills germs and you can get Vit C IV"S, garlic, olive leaf extract, goldenseal/echinacea and mushroom formulas also kill bacteria etc.
Surely antibiotics stop working after about 2 weeks, they can't be absorbed into the body's system. Also possible overdose problems? I know they tell you to finish the course, but this sounds ridiculous.
The abcess should have gone by now enabling the dentist to deal with the tooth it was under? Perhaps she should change her dentist. Infection shouldn't be ignored..
It sounds to me like you're being paranoid. Different types of antibiotics have different lengths of time for which they are normally taken. I'm guessing that your friend's dentist and pharmacist know a lot more about the safe administration of antibiotics than you do, if you don't trust them, get a second opinion from another medical professional.
If you have a serious question, at least find out what the medication is, what the dose is, and what the normal course of treatment is. This user has been banned from Askville.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
