I would not say that swelling is abnormal, after surgery - if the dog has been active, but a call to the vet would be in order, I think.

My dog is one of my children, I know when he hurts, etc...he lets me know or acts different. And he is very whiney...lol He is 110 lbs so he it is very hard for us to keep him down! I have a feeling its cause he has been too active...but thanks for the advice.

Oh, poor ole guy! I think you are right- his activity level has probably caused the swelling. 110 is BIG for a bulldog.
