Taking my first solo road trip (eek!) this wknd to meet up with T.O. friends-- what are some things you never leave without on a road trip?

1. A map! Get a nice map of the US (or...wherever it is you're from...) and keep it in the glove compartment.

Try to plan out the route before you go so things look that much more familiar when you see the signs on the road. 2. Great Tunes!

You will need some fantastic music (or a book on tape) to get you to your destination - tunes and books on tape (or cd as it were) passes the time quickly and will keep you moving! 3. MUNCHIES - this is critical.

Get a bag full of your fave snax from the grocery store before hand - you'll save some $$$ by not buying at the gas station (they jack up prices). Also grab a small cooler and put your fave drinks and some bottled water in there. It's refreshing and keeps you sharp.4.

Allow time to stop at weird places! Along the way, you may encounter fun places - like here in Texas, we have lots of rattlesnake farms, caves and strange diners that MUST be explored! Allow time to visit these places for the fun of it.

You won't regret it, but stay out of the biker bars.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
