You should really try all the guitars you like before you decide. There is no substitute for a hands on test. That said, I would also note that a Fender guitar will have a higher resale value if you decide to sell it down the road.
A Schecter or Ibanez, while fine guitars, will lose a lot of their value after the sale. If you decide you want one of those, buy it used.
To be honest, everyone has a different opinion on the matter, I'd recommend just going to the guitar shop, trying all the guitars and brands you mentioned and seeing which one you like the most. One thing I will say is, if you decide on a strat or tele, just get a mexican instead of an american. The Americans ones are exactly the same as the Mexicans just a lot more bloody expensive.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
