2 Before you pay someone to repair it, be sure there isn't an adjustable stopper of some sort, perhaps controlled by a screw. Don't ask me what the purpose of such a thing would be, but I seem to recall having a turntable where I could adjust where it set down, or picked up the needle/armature. I haven't owned one in about two decades!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
