By forcing religion on kids, it enables believers to have a strong power over them. We can make kids believe in santa , so why not god. I think the biggest fear among religious people is the understanding that if people were left to find god on their own it would rarely if ever happen.
The way I see it we all decide for ourselves. I was brought up to belive in a certain religion ,but we don't live in a vacuum. We,even children have a certain amount of reservation about what we are taught. At,least I did.
You are right about children being indoctronated at an early age. They are more suseptable to what they are told to be true, until they become more discriminating in their thought.
Concerning morals, children should be indoctrinated in certain ways (no stealing, killing, etc). I'm not sure about religion though. I haven't formed my views on religion yet.It is a large job that will take much time.
I intend to prove that God does exist (a daunting task), then move on from there.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
