I was thinking of the US and Europe. The vehemence of the religious right is, in part, a reaction to the growth of secularism. I should not have described opposition to homosexuality as "waning".
In fact, those who are opposed become increasingly insane as their numbers decrease. But decrease they do, because more and more young people figure out that they can find their place in the world without having to limit themselves and others based on the writings of a bunch of desert nomads. Secularism may well not be on the minds of the world as a whole, though I think that Islam is experiencing much the same situation that Christianity is.
Islam has had a secular component since Ataturk, and many of the most successful Muslim countries are secular. The ones that aren't secular are propped up solely by oil, and that's a factor that will disappear in a century. PamPerdue 57 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
