You know, I have a different out look on it. When society breaks down, no matter where you are at, the working man and the poor will have to fend for themselves. The military will take over all assets such as food, water, gas, medicine, etc, and see that the rich and the politicians are taken care of.
You only have to look no farther then the bail out money and who benefited and who is going to pay for it in order to prove my point. People that work for a living will be considered expendable. The heads of corporations are not.
The rich are not. The politicians are not. The military isn't.
The average citizen is definitely expendable. If society breaks down to the point food and medicine is not available for all concerned, guess who will be getting it? For the answer re-read paragraph 3.
I just want to make one point. Outside of my house is 6 million acres of totally undeveloped land (I live in NY). All of that land is more fertile than the Central Valley of California.
There is not agribusiness other than a small amount of logging. That is because develop is not legal there. NY more fertile than California?
Where does your water come from? In a breakdown in society, you lose your water and there goes California. Our water comes from the sky.
How much water do we have? I have almost three feet of it left in my front yard (all of it white) and I'm waiting for spring to plant my garden. I do not irrigate.
Anything will grow. If there is a problem, the biggest fight will not be over medicine, it will be over water. Who gets the water out west?
Probably those with guns. Luckily that will not be a problem where I live as much of NY is rural, undeveloped, and fertile. California can only grow a large amount of food because of water shipped from outside of the state.
Think about that.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
