As a general note, when asking about a ‘unisex’ name for a boy, I would avoid this site entirely and go over to the Nameberry forums. Over there, people are intelligent and mature when writing their answers, as well as quite knowledgeable when it comes to a name’s sex and general etymology. Whereas over here people tend to think that boy names on girls are cool but traditional boy names for boys are too weak, girly and inappropriate.
It’s a sexist mindset. Having said that Aubrey is, of course, a great name for a boy. Its hundreds of years of history as an all-male name does not suddenly become tarnished or irrelevant just because, in America only, Aubrey has become a trendy choice for girls.
It’s still strong and sophisticated, elegant and prestigious and, of course, it ages ridiculously well. Overall, it’s a good, sturdy choice for a boy, and please don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
