Tiger Woods: "It's not what you achieve in life that matters, it's what you overcome". Sincere, or excuse?

I think he's semi-sincere. I believe that a lot of that regret is because he stands to lose millions of dollars in a divorce. I don't really believe in sex addiction.

I agree with him that he just felt entitled, and invincible, and that the rules didn't apply to him. In fact, I believe he may be so narcissistic that he can only see that he's doing something wrong when it's pointed out to him. I find it odd that he asked people to leave his wife and children alone, but did not include his mother, who was sitting right there supporting him.

Would it not have been better to say leave his wife, children, mother, and other family members alone? I didn't hear any real emotion in his voice, even though he tried hard to fake it. I didn't see anyone who was really contrite, I just saw someone trying to save his own butt and his career.

I feel sorry for the people he hurt, not for him. I also don't believe that Elin didn't take a golf club to him. She just happened to have one in her hand when she found him crashed at the end of the driveway?

How stupid does he think we are? We'll never know, because she has laid down the law, and now the questions won't be answered until his kids write a tell-all book, which will not happen because the world is ending in 2012, right? Honestly, I have my own problems and I was never a Tiger fan.

Something about him always just made me uncomfortable, so I seriously didn't think much about it. Just another horn dog athlete that got caught.

He got himself into this mess. He chose to cheat on his wife with many other women. He certainly has challenges to overcome, but he will not gain my respect by overcoming this challenge.

He will always be a man who was repeatedly unfaithful to his wife in my eyes.

When Tiger Woods said "It's not what you achieve in life that matters, it's what you overcome," perhaps he was referring to the fact that all of his accomplishments on the golf course mean absolutely nothing compared to the challenges that he is now facing within his own family, and that dealing with this issue and trying to "overcome" is going to be one of the most difficult things that he has ever done. Regarding whether or not he was sincere about it or not, I don't think that is one of those things that you just say.

Maybe he was trying to psyche himself up for this. It could be his new pregame mantra for discussing things with Elin. At any rate, overcoming these challenges is going to be entirely up to Tiger and Elin.

Tiger has already announced publicly that he is taking a break from golf "indefinitely," so there is probably very little hope for his golf career.

I probably won't be long-winded in this. It's hard to tell the difference between PR moves and sincere apologies when high-profile people and organizations screw up. I also have to wonder if Tiger is sorry he did what he did, or if he's just sorry that he got caught.

This transgression went so far, with so many other people, that I really have to think that he's just sorry that he got caught.

When you think of overcoming obstacles, you generally think of illness or a death in the family, maybe even a financial setback. I've never heard of having millions of dollars and an affinity for spending them on whores behind your wife's back described as an obstacle. What is the obstacle, callous dishonesty and not being careful enough to avoid detection?

Now alcoholism or drug addiction, sure, those are obstacles that life throws up in front of you, but come on, what is Tiger saying, "I just can't resist the temptation, I can't keep my pants on, I can't honor my marriage vows. I wish I could, but I just couldn't do it, it was too hard for me. " He is trying to overcome getting caught.

How many of you think he's confessed to all of the girls? I don't.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
