To get credit card if did not pay late charge and stopped the card. Working 3 yr in China and $ in Pent. Credit Union.

I felt they screwed me by charging me a late fee when I was not late, so I never paid it and cut up the card. It was some four years ago. Did not use credit cards and have been working in China for small Chinese companies after working in the U.S.For some six years.

I am a U.S. Citizen but always worked for small companies in the U.S.I have saved some money but need to make purchases using a credit card. I don't have any other credit problems or a credit history. I can get a debit card but feel getting a debit card will make it harder to get a credit card and establish credit to buy a large ticket items in the future.

I would like to avoid paying for help in getting a credit card. Asked by egg 50 months ago Similar questions: credit card pay late charge stopped Working yr China Pent Credit Union Business > Financial Services.

Well, the bad news is that if you had a late charge that you didn't pay, that will probably end up on your credit report the good news is it will fall off soon. Getting a debit card will not affect your ability to get a credit card - it’s based upon your income and credit history. I have about 20 credit cards with a credit limit of about $260k, with one of my cards having a $69k limit.

AND, I bought my house without having to give up ay of my cards. The first think you need to do is get a current copy of your credit reports from the three major companies - you can do so once a year at annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp , and you can get free copies anytime you apply for credit and are refused based upon information delivered by the credit reporting companies. If you can’t get a credit card based upon your credit history and income, if you have money saved up you can get a secured credit card.

What this means is you get a savings account somewhere and it is used to secure the credit on your card. The amount of money in your savings account is the limit on your card. After a while (about 2 years), if you have used the CC reponsibly, paid on time and had not exceeded the limit, they will convert the card to a regular card and you can get your savings back.

BTW, a debit card with the Visa or MC logo is the same as a credit card; you just need to know what your daily limits are.

Pentagon Fed. Credit Union Don't talk to the PFCU clerks... they will spout the party line. Take it to the branch president.

Just tell the person what happened and they will glady correct the situation for you. Unlike a bank (which will stick it to you) the credit unions are not profit motivated and the fines and penalties are very often backed out. They exist for their membership and often run partially by the membership themselves.

Just ask the right person. Sources: Personal Experience .

1 Write the first company and pay the bill. Ask them to get rid of the late fee if you pay what you owe. Then the problem is solved.

Most credit card companies would switch it to a regular card between 6 - 12 months - depending on good payment history. This would build your credit history .

3 Having a "debit" card does not affect the acquisition of a credit card one way or the other! All a "debit" card is, is a card that you use to access your bank account; it has absolutely nothing to do with credit cards at all (with a debit card, you can only access whatever money is in your account! ).

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
