If Ron Paul is refused the GOP nomination due to his not toeing the party's neoconservative "let's bomb Iran" line, I think that the resentment within his base will be very substantial. In that case, in my opinion his supporters will be outraged and will just write him in even if he doesn't run under a third party. It is a matter of principle: the principle of restoring our Constitutional rights and our frustration and anger over being lied to by the administration and having our troops go to endless wars Yes, that might result in a three-way split with no candidate receiving 270 electoral votes. At that point, the incoming Congress (which would probably have a higher Dem percentage since we are all so angry with what the Republicans in Congress have been doing) would be directed to choose our next President.

That should be a messy issue, with a lot of civil protests and some angry crowds, but I have no doubt that Congress will back Obama. And before you say, "Oh no, not Obama" you should realize that Ron Paul supporters see clearly that there is really very little difference in actual policy between Obama and Romney (or Gingrich, though in that case there is probably a slight preference for Obama). They are bought and paid for by the same corporations/cronies, and they both owe their loyalties to those cronies (and not to American citizens).

So the whole "Anyone but Obama" argument is meaningless to Paul supporters because they know better That's probably why the NDAA that was passed by the Senate and Congress and signed by Obama includes a provision for holding Americans indefinitely without a trial for even the suspicion of terrorism. Those Executive Orders are so convenient; martial law, here we come If the GOP would like to avoid that whole scene, the solution is so obvious: give Ron Paul fair treatment on every front, and if he wins the majority of Republican votes, grant him the GOP nomination. In that event, Ron Paul will win by a landslide and Obama can throw himself into the public speaking circuit where he will no doubt make even more money from Wall Street than both he and Romney have already made from that source, combined. American citizens get back their liberties, the troops come home, and we all live happily for the next four years.

I don't know... It depends. Most supporters of Ron come from both parties, so it could be either Obama or perhaps Huntsman. Or maybe even Bachmann, you have to pick the next best thing even if you don't like most.

They could also seek a third-party, maybe Libertarian, candidate.

Depends who the GOP winner is then. If it's Romney I'll take him over Obama. I'd also take Huntsman over Obama but Huntsman doesn't have a shot in hell at this.

Other than that, all the other GOP candidates are garbage.

. Most Def Support President Obama. Ges a great guy, with a horrible cabinet.

Ron Paul is great also.

Easy question... if Ron Paul does not get the nomination, I will still vote for the GOP.. I will never vote Democratic as long as obama is anywhere near Washington!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
