I've had an amazing experience with 99Designs 99designs.com/ which is an auction style marketplace. I've made many logos with these type of sites where you put up a project and multiple people compete to give you what you want. It's called spec work and it's so effective that a "no spec" work movement has started up in which illustrators who charge by the hour/project are trying to stop these sites.
A logo used to cost $2-20k, now you can do it for $200 to $500 and get something that is, for 99% of people, just as good. I highly recommend it.
I am an artist ready to publish my first childrens book /illust.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
