Twitter question... when someone sends you a direct message that's not following you, why can't you direct message them back?

That's the way Twitter is configured, you can only DM people who are following you to prevent people from spamming using DM's. For example follow 1000 people DM them spam then unfollow, repeat.... That would be very irritating.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
