Babies/toddlers mimic everything they see... "monkey see, monkey do". It is your mind that is inflating the whole thing into something that isn't there. Toddlers do NOT have the cognitive judgment to have an "agenda".
At times like this, take an easy, simple redirection approach and with a fun voice say "hey look what I've got for you" or anything to get their attention and then you get them interested in other things. Don't borrow something that is not there! Don't scold or ridicule to make them feel shameful or negative.
Be positive and up lifting...
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
