Unreasonable? Selfish?

My Husband took lessons and we paid for PRIVATE. So he got a 'private' lesson for a beginner (had never been on a horse before) while the *&^%$ instructor also taught an intermediate class. I was well and truly P.O. when I found out.

PRIVATE MEANS PRIVATE! The instructor should be paying attention to you 100% of the time because that is what you paid for. I would certainly check the paper work or the rate schedule and if one is not posted ASK FOR IT.

Then have a good long talk with the OWNER of the stable about exactly what is meant by the word private. If you do not like their definition LEAVE. You are entitled to purchase exactly the type of PRIVATE lesson you want.

I took private dressage lessons for years and I would very much resent having what was done to you or done to my husband done to me. When you are practicing flying changes every few strides you do not want to have to be dodging a bunch of beginners who can not control their horses! It has nothing to do with 'antisocial' and everything to do with focusing on learning.

If I want to ride in a group, I will take group lessons or get together with friends for a trail ride. The decision should be MINE since I am the one who is paying the shot. The Customer is King!

If you're paying for a private lesson, and your trainer puts other riders in, then you should get a portion of your money back. Sometimes schedules just don't work out... maybe the regular Tuesday lesson conflicts with a doctor appointment or whatever, so your trainer has to re-work the schedule. It MAY be a little bit selfish, but if you're paying for a PRIVATE lesson, and not getting it, you should get some money back.

Period. If it were me I'd say "well I'm going to move into the group lessons, for only $30, because I'm getting that anyways with my $50, so why spend the money" trust me, you'll get your private lessons.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
