UPDATE: Mahalo Answers membership booming. How many members will there be after one year? (charts)?

The TWiT plugs are definitely helping! Thats how I started! And Albanian has a good point, do you keep track of who dosen't use the site for a few weeks?

I think you will hit about 72K in one year from now.

At the rate mentioned it looks like it will increase over today's level by about 65,000 members. Is there a prize for the one who guesses closest?

Wow big time loaded question. It probably depends on if you get some key people to offer to answer questions on here. I mean what would happen if you got Bob Vila to answer building questions, Dr. Ruth to answer sex/relationship questions, or Barry Bonds on how to shoot up with Anabolic Steroids|steroids.

You get my drift. One celeb might make this thing shoot up like a rocket. I think you'll probably get closer to 500K by years end.

I'm just betting someone will figure out they could find an audience here that they can't else where. Good Luck!

I think the trend will be something like Twitter: only a few 10K dedicated people will use it for the first few months, someone famous will "get it" and start using it and talking about it, and suddenly everyone and their brother will be joining and asking/answering questions. Plus, we've got a few killer features coming up that I know are gonna make people go crazy ;).

I think the mentions on TWiT are helping with the membership numbers, I think though that the rate of rise will decrease over time. So we'll probably end up with somewhere around 50-60K members by the end of the year.

If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Are you keeping track of how many members leave? Such as by not signing on for a couple of weeks? Do these charts take that into account?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
