No. She was the daughter of the Algonquin chief Powhatan and given some credit for helping Jamestown settlers. In 1613 she was taken hostage by Sir Thomas Dale who was at war with her father.
While a hostage she converted to Christianity by the Rev. Alexander Whitaker and was baptized "Rebecca." In 1614 she met John Rolfe a colonist and recent widower. A truce between her father and Dale was signed in 1622 The Virgina Company of London wanted to attract new settlers so they brought the Rolfe's and their young son Thomas to England in 1616. She met many of the era's major figures and was presented at court as well had her portrait painted.
She took ill while there and died March 1617. Her grave is in Gravesend, England.
