The wedding invitations are for family and friends (F & F) and the Obama pair are neither. It was bad enough last time with that Obama woman pawing at the Queen. Anglo american relations took a dive very soon after Borat entered the white house and ordered the bust of Sir Winston Churchill boxed up and returned.
Then the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico when he wilfully, persistently and wrongly referred to the oil company as British Petroleum, each time emphasising "British" even though it is no longer British, it is BP standing for Beyond Petroleum and is majority american owned. He never made any mention of Haliburton, the american company that supplied the machinery to prevent the blow out and he never once mentioned Transocean the american owners of the oil rig, just British Petroleum and how he was "going to kick some @ss" and because he thought it was a British company, demanded a $20 BILLION surety. There was never an apology after, even when the truth was made known to everyone.
He made it perfectly clear to everyone his feelings about the U. K, by the comments he made and the people he met soon after becoming president. As ye sew, shall ye reap.
The Wedding of Wills and Kate is not an official event, even though it has been dubbed a Royal Wedding by the media and most of the people. And, because the 'Royal Wedding' of Wills and Kate is not a STATE OCCASION it would be improper to invite the President of the United States of America, who is in effect the 'elected King of the people of the USA'. In other words, it's all to do with RANK and PROTOCOL.
If the President of the United States of America were invited to the Royal Wedding of Wills and Kate, he (The President) would out rank the Bridegroom and certainly outrank the Bride. He would have to be in the presence of a person of equal rank, HM Queen Elizabeth II. No snub will ever be made to a President of the United States of America or the people of that Great and Glorious Nation, by any member of the House of Windsor, who are entirely pro-American, esp.
The Queen. At 9/11 the Queen cried for three days, her face was red with the tears. By Royal Command http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwrX-LN9-... GOD SAVE THE QUEEN - LONG LIVE THE QUEEN.
