The believers and agnostics have been indoctrinated/brainwashed and are afraid to not believe. They can't help their condition. We even have agnostic atheists who claim they do not "believe" in God but will not go as far as to deny God's existence, saying it can't be known.
Of course it can be known, in the same way it can be known that a magic unicorn did not create the universe. This is how deep the fear goes. They have fear residue buried deep in their minds and aren't even aware of it.
They try to use the word "know" as a loophole for their unconscious buried belief that God might possibly be there. But if we keep trying to educate them, maybe one day we can save them all from this insanity. I'll take the smugness over the lunacy any day of the week.
There is no magic man living in the sky or anywhere else listening to prayers and running the universe. I am proud to be one of the smug few who knows this to be true.
Wow. Sounds like you have some "issues" to work out. Good luck with that.
As for good/evil, consider this: The premise of God is that He is the Creator of all. All is, therefore, subservient to Him. Right and wrong are pretty much universal but creation, by its nature, can't judge or even fully understand the Creator.
What you choose to believe is your business but your overly simplistic analysis doesn't really stand up. I'm not trying to convince or convert you. It just seems that overly zealous atheists tend to be as extremist as any religious extremists and very angry at a God they insist doesn't exist.
If it's all just a purposeless cosmic coincidence then it really doesn't matter. Relax and enjoy your pointless existence. Don't stress over the beliefs of others.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
