Yes, I share your pain and anger over this situation. Are we all a bunch of bumbling idiots living on this planet or what? What really ticks me off is that there is no one in the news that is really speaking out loudly regarding this matter.
It is just news like any other news and when they fix it, they fix it and ho hum... The dome is going a mile down to the ocean floor today and supposedly they have robots guiding it over the worst leak but who knows if this will work. The proportion of this whole thing is totally epic in scope and beyond the intelligence of those working in the oil industry today. Oil people are money hungry cowboys with little education and probably most of them could not fix a leaky faucet in their own homes much less deal with this catastrophic event.
Even if someone with an engineering degree in oil technology had some better ideas, it would probably fall on deaf ears. They would rather do it their way or no way at all. Anyway on the brighter note, maybe the dome thing will help or actually work.
The damage is done and we will be cleaning up oil forever.
Bp will be paying millions/billions if they don't do something NOW..they waited to long and are to stupid to find where to turn it off..they were never inspected or else this would not have happenend if they had a inspector but,I guess all that money can't buy intelligence just pure supidity. I am very upset and emotional about the loss of sea life due to this and I hope it get's stop before it reaches further. It will stop fishing period and we won't see nor eat fish bc,of this fact. And who knows our gas prices may go up too since, they will anyway.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
