Web Site version control with Team Foundation System?

I have a blog post explaining how this can be done (with a link to a TFS 2010 version) At the core it involves creating a version. Txt file with the build number in it and making this information visible on the site. If you want to hardcode this into every page, you could tweak the process to embed that version.

Txt in the HTML of each and every page isntead.

One of my co-workers solved this problem by building a Visual Studio Addin which shows all the changed web page files and gives you the option to set the next version or define one yourself and write it to the file.

– John Saunders Oct 18 at 16:38 @JohnSaunders I guess if its a site policy then I get it. I just think that sometimes a thank you actually goes a long way, even more than "points" added. But thank you for directing me to that post, I'll keep my manners out of SO from now on.

I mean, that was the last time just now, jeje... – AJC Oct 18 at 16:47 The site is community-driven. That means that you get a say, too. But the consensus (131 upvotes at this moment) is to remove those.

Stack Overflow is a unique sort of site, strictly Q&A, and "thanks" is neither part of a Q nor an A. We don't do much "what do you think", or "list of X", either. It takes some getting used to. – John Saunders Oct 18 at 17:11.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
