Interesting problem. @Zlatev is definitely right, you should probably your styles to a div within the html and body tags.

If I remove the border-radius property, Chrome displays the whole background in gray. When I add border-radius, the page background turns white. This is only Chrome/webkit specific.
The page works fine with gray background everywhere in Firefox/Opera/IE. Any ideas why? devio.us/~hara/test.html css3 webkit border-radius link|improve this question asked Feb 6 at 21:57iphar31.
1 Assigning styles such as 'width' to the html element is generally not a good idea. Instead apply them to the body element or best a wrapper div – Zlatev Feb 6 at 22:02 Thanks a lot! Applying a wrapper or using the body element fixes the issue.

Interesting problem. @Zlatev is definitely right, you should probably your styles to a within the and tags. I tried playing around with it, and I found that if you put the background on the tag it still overflows to fill the entire page, however if you specify the background for the tag and then declare the tag to have a different background (say, white), it look like you were hoping it would.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
