Ghanan20003000 there is a couple of things you can do here... I suggest submitting your site to digg. Com and stumbleupon. Com if your page creates a buzz on digg you should get major traffic from there but if anything it will probably increase your rank in the search engines for that page.

Stumbleupon will bring you instant visitors for that day. I also believe the page revenue is based on clicks to the ads, I don't believe it is page impressions however my brother told me it was... Overall concentrate on getting clicks and you should make money either way. @marina7aqua It is not necesary to submit to blogs like how you are stating, you could simply create your own blog at blogger.Com and submit the link there to gain some SEO juice.

It is better to submit to relative blogs but not necesary. You mention spamming youtube however creating a youtube account with a relative video to the how to page will gain you some great SEO Juicce, meaning you will come up in ranks in google and long before you know it you should be eventually in the top 10 providing the keyword isnt to tough to rank for. Tips to make your pages better, one thing I have always appreciated was a youtube video about the page I am on so make sure there is one video posted for each page you do.

I have a some Coupons pages managed in my profile. I have heard that Coupons pages are one of the most revenue earning pages in Mahalo. However I don't seem to get a lot of traffic to those pages (mostly 0 views on some pages) and mostly no revenue at all... Could you tell me some good sites to submit my pages which can increase traffic?

Also what are the factors that the Ad revenue of a page depend on? I can see some pages with views but with no income while some pages with a very low page view has managed to earn some money... :? Amazon Home Coupons Verizon Broadband Coupons The Serena Williams page I manage is found on the 11th page of the results page when I type Serena Williams.

A fantastic thread! In your experience, with the Google PageRank algorithm, does having a site like Mahalo. Com (PageRank=7) help make new pages inside Mahalo rank better?

For example, I recently did: mahalo.com/best-netbooks And it's already appearing on the first or second page of Google search results for "best netbooks". Which is surprising, since there are already a lot of pages out there in the world on the topic. This page has no PageRank, since it's a new page.So is my page being carried along with the rising tide of Mahalo.

Com? Or can I attribute this more to the savvy SEO that's being done behind the scenes?

You answered a lot of the questions that I had right now about Mahalo pages and the best ways to market them and get more traffic to them. I have a question regarding non-Mahalo pages, like a small business website. My friend has a local photography studio here in Tulsa, and a website that is 100 percent Flash, http://www.imagestulsa.com.

I have read numerous discussions elsewhere that while these are not the most search engine friendly pages, they can still be marketed. Can you explain to me how this works? Are the search engine spiders able to read the Flash content (there is text, but mostly pictures)?

What changes could be made to the site itself to improve its search engine rankings? She has suggested to me that maybe she would like to incorporate a different framework for the site, such as WordPress or Joomla, but I think that since the existing site is already up in Flash, changing it now would be an extensive project. I have heard that SEO rankings are actually achieved by the number of back-links to the site, but would it do any good in this instance?

Since this is a small business, she does not have the funds to pay someone for search engine optimization services, which can be quite costly, but what are some ways that I could help her drive more traffic to her site without it becoming too time and resource consuming?

My page How to Care for Giant African Millipedes is getting a tiny bit of traffic (it's new), but my How to Care for Tarantulas Google search brings up this Mahalo page. mahalo.com/pet-tarantula Pet Tarantula Mine is nowhere in sight. If and when I make the How To team, I may ask for help to merge the two pages and/or claim it, but right now it feels like we're in competition.

Pet Tarantula is an information page about Pet tarantulas in general, and your How to Care for page focuses on the care of Pet Tarantulas-- two different things, so the pages should not be merged-- they are not in competition- they complement each other. Interlinking the two pages will help improve the rank of both pages.

Smartweb Thank you for taking your time out to help everyone with their pages. I have always believed that there is room for improvement with everything in this world. Given the time I have taken with my personal pages lately.

And the down time and spam mahalo has been trying to overcome we could all use a little more help every now and again. If you could maybe just peruse over my pages and let me know if you see anything that might be in drastic need of change. I've been thinking that possibly linking all my pages in some form or fashion (weather that be directly or indirectly) , may help with the indexing process.

Also, we have been using Ping. FM and other mass social networking methods to help get the pages indexed faster into google and yahoo (Bing) . Ping seems to be working wonders.

There are also some pages that simply don't need to be focused greatly upon such as my Kennedy Compound and Brown University page. Please let me know your thoughts. Kind Regards, @XDS.

I have just created my first 'How to' page How to pick the right swimsuit for your body type and I am a SEO dummy. Where can I find blogs that allow links? I'm guessing spamming on youtube is not the best way to promote the page.

Should I just search the web for things like 'swimwear blog' 'vacation blog'? How can I make the page more attractive? Some quick tips would be highly appreciated and would help me make the future pages better.

Apart from posting your link on blogs, linking to other mahalo pages and making your pages more attractive is there anything else that can be done? Thanks in advance.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
