As an 18 year old, I think I can speak for the majority of people in my age group in saying this. Young people's opinions are overrated. The Beatles on the other hand; are not.
I am 16 and amoungst the people I know, about 15% of them are into the Beatles or any classic rock at all. I've never really been into punk rock or pop all that much. Young people are generally appalingly ignorant to music in general, hell, I know I still have a lot to discover.
It almost hurts when kids my age say the Beatles are overrated. They don't know or understand. They don't get the fact that if the Beatles had never been around, none of their modern rock would be either.
To answer your question, yes, a lot of young people seem to feel that the Beatles are over-rated.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
